Library Science Degree is a non-profit resource website created by Lindsay Samuels to encourage the pursuit of a library science degree and a career in the field. And recently the website has listed top fictional feminist icons, which we believe will be of significance to our readers.

In some parts of the world, women are still not taught or allowed to read. And in the United States, women were not given the same education as their male counterparts until decades later. With only eyelash batting or being tied to the proverbial train tracks, women have made up a poor part of the printed page.
However, with quality always beating quantity, we have been able to scour the greatest works in literature to gather the top ten fictional feminist icons of all time. Whether you believe that a bra is for burning or not to be discussed in decent company, there is sure to be an entry or two that has sparked the imaginations of millions of readers both male and female.
