Tell Congress to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act immediately!
Join Senators Franken and Klobuchan and tell Congress to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act immediately!
20 years ago, Congress passed landmark legislation ensuring domestic violence is treated seriously. Now, the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act is being held up for political purposes.
Just seven years ago, this bill was reauthorized with overwhelming bi-partisan support. It passed the House 415-4 and with unanimous consent in the Senate. There's no reason that shouldn't be happening now.
We can't play political games with our children and communities.
